Mission Statement
The mission of Elba Public School is to educate students through individualized instruction to build skills to enhance our community.

 
 

Elba Public School is a PK-12 district with approximately 110 students. It is located in the northwest corner of Howard County in the beautiful North Loup River Valley of central Nebraska. The School has a PK-12 Superintendent, PK-12 Principal, PK-12 Guidance Counselor, 20 certified staff, and 11 classified staff members who are dedicated to meeting the individual needs of each student. Elba is a class D-2 school that prides itself on providing a wide variety of course offerings delivered by a highly qualified staff in a small school environment. The mission of Elba Public School "educates students through individualized instruction to build skills to enhance our community". Our Motto is "enhancing lives one lesson at a time".

The Elba area has various recreational activities available including roller skating, movie theater, miniature golf, state fair, music concerts all located in nearby Grand Island. The area also has multiple church affiliations with an active United Methodist church in Elba, nearby St. Paul has a Catholic Church, Lutheran Church, Methodist Church and Grand Island has several church denominations. 

Elba has the following organized community groups: fire department, Village Board, Elba Community Foundation, Booster Club , PTO and Post Prom Committee. The following businesses are located in Elba: Post Office, Village Office, Mealhouse (eating establishment), Irrigation Business, Charlies (mom and pop Convenience store/gas station), Daycare, Hair Salon, Gravel Business just outside of town and a local bar.
