The district will participate in
workers' compensation as required by statute. All employees of the district
will be covered by workers' compensation regardless of type of assignment,
length of assignment or hours worked per day.
The selected workers'
compensation plan will provide coverage for medical expenses and wages to the
extent required by statute to qualifying employees. The amount of workers'
compensation wage-replacement and sick leave benefits shall not exceed a
regular daily rate of pay.
The superintendent shall be
responsible for developing administrative regulations to implement the workers'
compensation plan and shall annually review the costs and performance of the
plan with the board, making recommendations for changes as necessary.
