CERTIFICATED EMPLOYEE QUALIFICATIONS, RECRUITMENT, SELECTION

 

Persons interested in a certificated position, other than administrative positions which will be employed in accordance with board policies in Series 300, "Administration," shall have an opportunity to apply and qualify for certificated positions in the school district without regard to age, race, creed, color, sex, national origin, religion or disability.

 

All rulings of the State Board of Education and the State Department of Education governing eligibility for service in the public schools shall be applied, and beyond this, such other regulations as may be established by the board or the superintendent.

 

All nominations for appointment to position of the school staff, except for the superintendency, shall be made to the Board of Education by the superintendent of schools after he has reviewed applications anal heard recommndations from the principals. Each nomination shall be made, if possible, with reference to a specified position and shall indicate the salary schedule placement.

 

Upon appointment the certified employee must file:

 

  1. W-4 tax certificate.
  2. A Nebraska Public Employees retirement membership application.
  3. An authorization and application for any other payroll deduction benefits.

 

The requirements stated in the Negotiated Contract between employees in that certified collective bargaining unit and the board regarding qualifications, recruitment and selections of such employees shall be followed.
